Hello! This has been a very busy week at the Automaton Studios, and we'd like to take a moment to thank everyone for the serious amount of support and growth we've seen in our community this week! This is the third (and likely last) patch we're putting out this week, and we're settled in our new office so we are fully prepared to bring you guys more updates in the future.

Features[edit | edit source]

  • Happy St Patrick's Day! We have added in some limited time (1 week!) unique rewards obtainable from crates
  • Players now die to the oxygen when the oxygen bar hits zero. When downed in the gas, the oxygen bar stops decreasing, and players then have to wait and will revive in the same spot
  • Added in detection for players trying to cheat the game, and eliminates them instantly if they're detected
  • Added in prevention measures to stop players from trying to modify aspects of the game
  • Improved a lot of our Chinese and Russian localization


Balancing[edit | edit source]

  • More actions now have XP rewards tied to them (e.g. taking a blood bag, assisting with objectives, using items)
  • Players can now be antidoted after being lethal injected (Note: we're still experimenting with this item)

Bug Fixes[edit | edit source]

  • The FPS on the main menu has been given a limit to minimize CPU usage
  • Slightly re-wrote the way moving into the next zone works in order to fix the bug where players were dying to the gas in the next zone
  • Fixed a crash related to shooting generators in the map with a shotgun
  • Fixed some server-side CPU issues to allow the server to run more efficiently

Main Menu[edit | edit source]

  • Main menu buttons have been moved from the right side to the left to make them easier to read
  • Card buttons on the 'Play', 'Profile', and 'Test Subject' interfaces have been centralised and visually improved
  • The diary entries interface now displays the notes in 3D rather than as a list
  • Traits for each character are now split between tier so you can see easily which ones you have unlocked
  • There is now a trait description interface to explain how different trait slots work
  • Changing your character cosmetics now requires less clicking
