v2.2.0 Patch Notes[edit | edit source]

Features[edit | edit source]

  • Skill-based matchmaking: Matchmaking will now attempt to band players of a similar rank together
  • Added custom clothes for each character - you unlock the hat at level 3, melee weapon at level 5 and the clothes at level 7 for that character
  • Added more gun skins representing each language the game is translated into (Spanish, German, Chinese, Russian, Korean, and Japanese)
  • Added fall back proxy servers to allow more people to be able to connect to our servers
  • Added more reasons to the UI for why the game ended (e.g. time running out, last innocent escaping, last innocent killed)
  • Added Japanese and Korean translations
  • Improved Chinese translations
  • Added Shadows menu option
  • Removed SVOTI menu option
  • Only show traits on the end of round screen that were not already completed

New Traits[edit | edit source]


  • Tier 1:
    • Every Last Drop: If you re-spawn you will keep a maximum of 1 slice of Terror strength
    • Heightened Senses: Terror sense highlights Innocents every 8 seconds instead of 10
    • Fun Sponge: You gain half a slice of Terror strength from each unique lever you deactivate
  • Tier 2:
    • Blood Thirsty: Move 10% faster when moving towards Innocents that are downed while in Terror Form
    • Reserves: There is a 25% chance that you will only lose half a slice of Terror strength when executing
    • Sixth Sense: When in Terror Form all accessible blood bags are highlighted to you

Balancing[edit | edit source]

  • The Camera now does half damage from behind a Terror
  • The Camera now has a 1.5s delay between shots (up from 1.2s), it also has a new UI feature to indicate when you can use it again
  • Modified the ELO formula so players should never gain 0 ELO

Bug Fixes[edit | edit source]

  • Applied an engine fix to potentially stop a lot of crashes players experience
  • Generally improved lighting and efficiency of maps to help improve FPS
  • Changed lighting style used on Objectives to improve FPS
  • Players are no longer popped to join a game if they no longer can connect to it (reducing the number of '5 man' games)
  • Infected players can now move if the lights came on whilst they were downed in Terror Form
  • You can now use the in-game chat during character select, the end of round screen and while downed
  • Fixed a bug causing the Cameraman trait not to work the first time you selected it
  • XP gains now visually display for level 7 characters
  • Improved the alignment of the animations on the escape hatch
  • Tweaked our custom anti-cheat to give more accurate reports
  • Increase time for scanning w/ inspection kit to stop people from getting infinite use from it
  • Challenges no longer progress if you do not have the level to do so
  • The tracker outline is now working on the Terror Form
  • Fixed a pressure pad on the forest map that wasn't triggering correctly
